ABOUT US

Generations Ministries is a nonprofit organization that seeks to honor Christ in all we do by living as the early church did, as represented in Acts.

Acts 2:43-47 says, "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

The early church looked very different than it does today, and we intend to go back to the core of who we are called to be as believers. We are called to not simply attend a worship service, but to worship through our daily lives. (Romans 12:1-2) Yes, we will worship together; but we will not simply be another modern day "church congregation". We are here to love, serve, and be true to Jesus Christ through the guidance of the Holy Spirit as He leads in our everyday lives.

We also believe, as spoken of in God's Holy Word, that we are called to live differently. Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 4, - "9 Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. 10 And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more, 11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. " We are called to love, to seek 'to lead a quiet life', to work with our hands. This is who we are striving to be- people who love and live differently than the world around us.

One practical way we are able to love and live differently is by teaching the next generations how to 'work with their hands'. Through free learning courses, we are actively loving our community and investing in the lives of those around us. This community outreach is a tangible way in which we can serve and give to others.
